Looking forward to checking out Windows 7 on my new Media Center PC. Went with the i7 3.33GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB HDD, GeForce GTX 295, Dual HD Tuner, BlueRay reader/writer.
Since I am hooking it up directly to the TV I got the Gyration 2.4GHz remote and keyboard. If you haven’t seen it yet check it out!

I just upgraded to 15Mb cable service burstable to 22Mb so I needed a server to make good use of the extra bandwidth.
I’ll let you know how it turns out. Parts in a few days! WOOHOO!

That will be one hell of a machine. I basically did a comparison on my T60 Dual-core Thinkpad with XP Pro Service Pack 3, Vista Ultimate, and Windows 7 Ultimate Build 7201 with SP1 RC2. The Windows 7 was hands down the most responsive of the three. XP Pro was always pretty responsive on my Thinkpad, Vista was slow and kind of unstable. Windows 7 gave me the speed of XP Pro with the flashiness and updates of Vista. It is very responsive and the way that program shortcuts get added to the taskbar is pretty cool. I highly recommend it. My T60 is no speed machine, but it does just fine thanks to keeping processes and services at a minimum. I like racing turtles-HAHAHAHHA.
